Which nikon coolscan model is the best?
I'm planning to buy a film scanner in the future. Which model of nikon coolscan best for scanning 35mm and medium format film? The only one that will do medium format would be the Super COOLSCAN 9000 ED. http://www.nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Nikon/Product/Film-Scanners/9237/Super%20COOLSCAN%209000%20ED.html http://nikonimaging.com/global/products/scanner_en/index.htm Brian Ramsey | Read more Film Scanner for SLR? I have a Nikon N90 and would like to get my 35 mm film rolls transferred to the computer. Any good scanners (under $150) that would give me great quality? I've heard of a Canon 8800 for $164 and it seems alright. What do you think? You'll get decent results with the Canon. That's not a bad price. Set the resolution up and take your time. Candid Chris | Read more Slide scanner rental In Northern IL? I need to scan allot of 35mm slides and I don't want to spend 1000 on a special scanner. Is there any place I could rent a film scanner preferably the Nikon Super COOLSCAN 5000 ED in northern Illinois? If your slides are simply the 35mm film strips which come from the film developer, you don't need a special scanner. I have a Canon D1250U2F which came with a neat little device which turns out an excellent photo rendition from a 35mm film strip. It cost me $50 a few years back. Of course, this isn't a 'high production model', so it might take some time to do the work. Other than that, I have NO idea where one might rent such a scanner. acermill | Read more What's A Good Film Scanners? I was informed today that it was possible to scan black and white film negatives onto the computer, and process them as if they were shot digitally using a film scanner. I thought this was only possible using slide film. Long story short, I'm considering getting back into film photography. What is a good film scanner, other than the Nikon Coolscan, that is around $200 or less, but still very good. Also, will the scanned negative be suitable for sizes of around 8x10? While still retaining all the details? I was considering the Canon 8800F, Canon 600 lide, and the Epson V200. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help. Epsons are generally considered the best. Ilford XP2 scans beautifully, indeed, you could call it amazing. (No silver crystals for the scanner to diffract through.) Mere Mortal | Read more |
